Flood Damage Prevention Law

 

A public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Groton on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 8:00 PM, at the Town Hall located at 101 Conger Boulevard, Groton, New York.

Proposed Local Law #1 for the Year 2025 is a local law coordinated with FEMA as well as the DEC, to control building and development within the newly proposed FEMA Flood Zone areas.

At the time and place of the public hearing the Town Board will take statements, testimony, and evidence from the public, and any individuals with visual, hearing, or other impairments or disabilities that require, or wish to request, assistance should contact the Town Clerk, Robin Cargian at (607) 898-5035 at least 48 hours prior to the time of the Public Hearing.
