Public Hearing on the 2025 Preliminary Town Budget

& 2025 Fire & Ambulance Contracts

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Groton will hold a Public Hearing on the 2025 Preliminary Budget at the Town Hall, 101 Conger Boulevard, Groton, New York, at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, as part of the Regular Monthly Meeting. Said Preliminary Budget will be available for inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours and online at www.townofgrotonny.org.  All interested citizens will have the opportunity to give written and oral comments. 

 

Pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are as follows: 

Town Supervisor …..……………$14,630.53

Town Clerk & Tax Collector…...  $61,476.79

Highway Superintendent……… $82,221.04.

Councilperson (4)…………......…$4,438.48 ea.

 

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 184 of the Town Law, that a hearing on the 2025 Fire Protection and Ambulance Service Contracts will be held immediately following the Preliminary Budget Hearing.  The proposed contracts with the Fire Company in the Groton Fire Protection District are hereby specified as follows:

 

Groton Fire Department…………….$162,500.00

Ambulance Service…………………...$183,500.00
