Town of Groton

Taxes are mailed by the Town Clerk/Tax Collector so that you will receive them by January 1st or 2nd. Full payments are due by January 31st without penalty.  First installments are also due by January 31st.  Both are payable to April L. Scheffler Tax Collector.  Second installments are  payable to Tompkins County Finance, 125 East Court St.,  Ithaca, NY 14850  Telephone: (607) 274-5545. 

 

Assessment Review

The Local Advisory Board of Assessment Review Meeting will be sometime in May, 2008 at the Groton Town Hall.  Anyone who feels that their assessment is unfair may attend this meeting and present a grievance.  Forms may be obtained at the Town Clerk’s Office, the Tompkins County Assessment Office or by following this link:
